Life on Mars (UK+US)
Last night I dug out my Life on Mars series 1 boxset for the first time in months and watched episode 5 (the one where they go undercover in a pub to solve the football murder - why don't they just give the episodes names?!)
Not the best episode ever, but the undercover scenes are fun. There's a throwaway line in there by Gene about how his missus can't keep her stories straight when she's drunk, and thanks to donna_gene I immediately thought of Donna and Gene getting pissed together and her slurring and messing up whatever cover story she's using to avoid having to explain the whole "accidentally stuck in the 70s waiting for the Doctor to come and find me" thing.

Sam is the only one in character there - the others are just hanging around on set in costume, in case you couldn't tell.
It's like a weird AU.
