I find this meme quite interesting. Possibly because I'm very nosy.
You know how sometimes people on your friend's list post about stuff going on in their life, and all of a sudden you think "Wait a minute? Since when are they working THERE? Since when are they dating HIM/HER? since when???" And then you wonder how you could have missed all that seemingly pretty standard information, but somehow you feel too ashamed to ask for clarification because it seems like info you should already know? It happens to all of us sometimes.

Note: this is very long! but it does pretty much tell you everything you might possibly want to know. And if you want to ask anything you STILL want to know afterwards, go for it.
1. First Name: Katie. It it not short for anything. My birth certificate says "Katie".
2. Age: 24.
3. Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Earth, the solar system. I live with my parents.
4. Occupation: I'm still just a Super-Temp. Right now I'm at a college. It's pretty dire, but I've sort of been sedated by the place. I'm in a bit of a stupor while I'm there. I just sit on the internet all day.
5. Partner: Nope. I've never had a boyfriend. I'm not sure what I'd do with one if I ever got one! I think I'm getting to that wonderful age (quarter-life crisis?) where I'm starting to worry a bit about it though.
6. Kids: Not yet!
7. Baby names: I change my mind an awful lot. I like names that are unusual. Not made up names, but maybe more traditional names, or names that have gone out of fashion. Like Agatha, Erin, Susan, Judith.
8. Brothers/Sisters: I have brother called Lewis. He's 21 and he's just a constant worry. He won't even try to hold down a proper job, and he can be downright nasty. But I love him most of the time. He shared a childhood with me, so we'll have that forever.
9. Pets: just my cat Ollie. He's rather old and is deaf as a post, so he's sort of hard work to be honest. Bless him. He's not a cuddly cat. He just comes and goes and expects to be fed and then ignored.

I went to a private all girls secondary school. It was bloody good fun, but I'd say at least 80% of the school's output has no ability to interact with the opposite sex.
12. Parents: Judith and Derek. Or Jude and Dek as I like to call them. They're 51 and 50. They lived on the same council estate as children, same schools, and they got together aged 14/15. They went out for years on and off (no-one else serious in between), and when they got back together after their last big breakup my Dad proposed.
I'm really quite close to them. Me and my Dad share a personality (and sense of humour), and my Mum and I get on like friends. She's quite happy to listen to me blather on about nonsense ;)
13. Who are some of your closest friends? I have very few friends. I kept my friends from school. I think because I was educated with the vain, spoiled and vacuous, I really clung to the actual friends I made. I have 3 very very close friends. One lives here in Newcastle and the other two live in London. I can let it all hang out with them. We're a 4. We have our rituals and our shorthand and our group obsessions. They're lovely. I'm lucky to have them.
I also have another 2 friends who I mainly socialise with. We know each other really well, but we don't live in each other's pockets. They're my clubbing buddies :) I like to go out and get drunk and dance, and they come out and play with me.
And then I have my LJ! With you fine people reading!
Also, I have some thinky-thoughts about BSG and Doctor Who, but I'm too tired for that now.
