Skins 1x09

It was such a terrible mess. Uneven, cliched, melodramatic, ugh.

I had prepared myself already for Sid/Cassie. They've been building up to it since episode 1 so I was prepared, I really was. I could have gotten though it. Then they threw Chris/Teacher at me, and the kicker, the one what really got me - they did Tony/Michelle. God! Stupid pairing-everyone-off and ridiculous angst.

Why does Tony love Michelle? How has he demonstrated this in the past? He only seems to be upset because he's lonely and/or bored. I'm willing to accept that he's fond of her. They've obviously spent a lot of time together, not all of it in bed. Michelle had her heart broken, but Tony hasn't seemed concerned about her feelings at all. It's still about him, as always.

Which isn't a bad thing. This has been Tony's story. Tony's a great character. That's why I can't believe the final episode wasn't Effy, to bring the whole thing full circle.

And the lip-synching didn't work. It just didn't.

I'm bitter >:(

I guess my final peeve is that while Scarlett Johnason in the Justin Timberlake video is the most unblemished car accident victim I've ever seen, Tony takes second place.
