Thanks so much to everyone that came to the show, especially Jessica and Sandy..
Having people that will never ever miss you play, no matter where or when or what they have to do to get there..
Wow.
I don't care if I ever even have to play a show for 2 people,
I must be doing something right for them to stick around and keep coming back, and it makes me happier than anything.
Last night I had an amazing set-up.
This guy, Jes, is a lawyer..and is single.
No kids, nothing..
So he's got some money, and has all this cool shit..
And always comes to watch me play, and brought all this sound equipment.
It sounded amazing.
So now I have a publicist and a sound guy.
I didn't play too great for a while...
People kept coming in, and I wasn't focused on the music, and forgot words quite a few times.
But Jes brought a mixer and recorded everything, and I'm very proud of the last 30 minutes..
The best feeling in the world is when you'll have the place pretty full, and people are talking and whatnot...
Then you play a song that you put your heart into, and everyone gets quiet and watches..
I love that shit..
I completely re-did "Freshmen" by Verve Pipe, and a lotta people said it was amazing.
And I did "Name" by goo goo dolls, and added my own breakdown, and that made a few people happy :-)
