"Mary Cherry, while just the slightest bit in lala land, does have an excellent point. You can't let Spam get you down. Or that heinous carbon copy of hers. Just ignore her, slice the amphibian, and you're home free. You'll get your A. Promise."
Mary Cherry shook her head as she looked over, following Brooke's gaze. "Y'All. I don't think I have ever seen so much bad taste at any one table before."
She nodded in agreement with Mary Cherry. "It's a tragedy. But there's nothing we can do. Trust me. I tried to get a stricly Armani and Gucci dress code going. But it didn't take." She frowned. "So how about we let the losers go back to being nonexistant...and we talk about tryouts."
"Oh no need to worry about me. I'm not here. I didn't hear a thing." She made a big deal of pretending like her lips were sealed. She didn't have anything to worry about. She knew she was as good as on the squad.
Nicole nodded and opened a folder. "Now...I have listed those trying out by their potential. I think the ones at the top, including Mary Cherry here, will make the best squad."
Brooke looked over the list. Some names were familiar, other's she'd never even heard before. "Carmen Ferrara is trying out?" Brooke asked, looking over at Nicole.
Brooke knew better than to try an argue with Nicole now. She would just have to try and appeal to Nicole's inner good person after the tryouts. At least then she'd have undeniable proof.
