Do I have to write up an AU background for my character? Can't I just bring them over from canon?
Yeah...nah. The point of the game is that it is an Alternate Universe. If you want to drag a character somewhere crazy as their canon selves, there are plenty of excellent multifandom role plays that cater to that. Check out roleplaysecrets or app_this_plz if you're stuck and looking.
Do we have to use PBs to represent our characters, since this is an AU?
While I personally am rather partial to PBs, it's not a rule we're going to enforce. You can or not, it's entirely up to you.
Do you accept Original Characters?
We do! Keep in mind that we'll expect a pretty thorough app, however, since we won't have a canon background for your baby.

Can I come hang out before I join, to get a feel for your level of crazy?
Sure can! Membership on the OOC community is open to anybody, so you can ask questions and derp around in there; we've also got an AIM chatroom in the form of seemslegit. If you have any problems getting in, flick the mods a line at peacocking.
So what can my character DO here, anyway?
Well now, that's entirely up to you! If you want them to try and investigate what's going on behind these rumours of disappearances and soul-thefts, go right ahead. If you've got a female character who wants to organise a rally or protest in furtherance of women's rights, that's absolutely awesome. And if you just want to hang out for some slice-of-life hanging around, that's totally cool, too. This is game is what you make it. It's all up to you.
Are there any character types that you don't accept?
There are. We don't accept real-life people; for similar reasons, we will also not be accepting any of the Axis Powers Hetalia cast. No offense meant, guys, but personified nations will probably be more of a hassle to AU respectably here than it's worth, so this statute is in place to save headaches.
What about slash/femmeslash/all that jizz jazz?
As a comm, we allow it (as long as it's in-character, naturally); however, keep in mind that male homosexuality is illegal in this timeline. There are cops and informers in the city, so. Just a heads-up, m'dears~
