Why do some people get on the elevator, then push the floor they need, and stand in front of the buttons, so no one else can reach them?

Because people suck, are rude, and have no common sense.

If he is cute, smile at him, and say "six please"...and make him press it for you as you go to the opposite side of the elevator, as far from the buttons as possible!!!

If he is ugly, punch him in the throat and push the button yourself. Be sure to laugh at him whenever you see him in the halls again. Believe me, this works.
