U of A was totally awesome!!
omgosh! going to the U of A jass showcase was the best experience i ever had in my whole entire life!!! i absolutely luv it!!! the teachers teach FAST and wont go over the movements until they r done. and they finish the choreography in like 10 mins. and theres alot. it was hard...but it was a great experience, so i kno wut i'll be expecting when i major/minor in dance. n e ways...lets start from friday!!
friday:
went to meet in the dance office at 12:15. and waited for the bus. the bus gets here and we leave. the bus ride there was cool. like the first hr or so, ppl were just talking and laughing and singing to the radio. but then the last half of the hr was more calm. everyone's tired and all they want to do is just sleep. lol. i was 1 of them. o yea, and i had to pee like really badly lol, but n e ways. we get to U of A and waited for a while. cuz melissa and codi was going to an audition. then we went to our hotel, and guess wut hotel we were staying at...the mariott. omgosh! its so pretty inside! they only had 1 room available at the moment...so we all went to that room and put our bags in there. then from 2:30-ish to about 4:30-ish. we all went outside to explore the place. i saw sum clothes store and i SO wanted to go shopping...but dont have time. then we looked at restaurants to see where we want to go for dinner. and we all decided to eat at pei wei's. mmm, i luv that place. n e ways. we went to starbucks to get sumthing to drink. i hate coffee, so me and flip just got vanilla bean. i've drank vanilla bean before...so yea. its all i get. oo oo, and i had it carmel. so it made it extra yummy. o man, i took bugillions of pics! oo!! and we saw this van across the street ready to turn...and the guys in there were ghost white! lol. cuz they were clowns..but it was so funny and weird. i tried takin a pic...but they were too far away. and then we saw this little red convertible car..and driving it was this tall ass guy lol. so i took a pic of that. then we head back to the hotel. and staying in my room were me, flip, paige, amber, and kavya. i think we had like the best group of ppl. b/c we were both calm and crazy lol. and we got the room farthest away from buren. but yea. then we changed into nice clothes. and they kept telling me i look like a school girl. cuz i was wearing brown skirt and shirt. lol. n e ways. we meet up at 5:30-ish in front of the elevator. then went to dinner. me and flip got crab wontons, shrimp w/ lobster sauce rice, and vietnamese spring rolls. o man...they were all SOOOOOO yummy. we looked like pigs...cuz everyone else got like a plate for their own lol. and then we headed to the U of A dance place. finally melissa and codi arrives. then we headed to our seats. omgosh...the concert was absolutely unbelievable!! i luved it! my fav. piece was puncutation .?!...choreographed by same watson. he's an amazing choreographer. and the hollywood finale piece. it was all good, but those 2 were my fav. then we went to penguins to get sum ice cream. i got cookies and cream w/ extra carmel!! lol. then we just went outside to talk to the other modazz ppl who were out there. and i was looking at these clothes next door. and i saw the cutest outfit. n e ways. we head back to the hotel around 9:30-ish. showered. then just had sum relaxation w/ my friends. watched a bit of southpark and i was out by midnight. lol.
saturday:
we had to meet w/ everyone outside by 7. so we set out alarms for 5:50-6. then we had a wake-up call at 6. then met outside b4 7. then we went to get sum breakfast. we went to dunkin doughnuts. me, flip, paige, and amber got the 50 munchkins. then we went to the gittings at U of A b4 9. before we got there, there was this carnival/fair thing going on...and there were that relay race thingy w/ that giant air floaty thingy. so we asked buren if we cant try it...and when we said yes....sum of us ran to it. lol. me and flip went against each other, and i SO totally creamed her!! lol. i forgot wut to do...so i was just diving throught everything lol. it was fun. cuz when i was done...i was walking to get my stuff, and she was still on those tall things lol. she kept getting up, and getting knocked back down lol. she said that she'll beat me 1 day...um...i dont think so. lol. n e ways. we get there, and they had intros...then we went to our first class. our first class was w/ michael williams. he's funny. he makes us say "yes michael". we did warm-ups, it was jazz, but its the most fun jazz warm-ups i've ever done. and michael was like "im gonna add sum shaking..cuz i like to shake" lol. but yea. like we had to hold a 2 count...and on the 3rd we start dancing....and hes like "wut do u do on 3??...u get doowwwn" lol. but just the way he say and did it was funny. then we did sum stretches...and hes like "go into a lunge and make a smiley face towards the floor...grind it" lol. oo...and when we were doing this stretch....he touches sum ppls hips if they dont have the alignment right. and he went to codi and moved her hip. and shes like "*gasp* he touched my butt!" lol. then we did across the floor. it was fun. then we went to the stage, where richard havey was teaching. and i luv his choreoaphy and the way he just blends every movement w/ one antoher. and guess wut?!?!?! i never knew i could do this...but i hit a clean triple piroutte! i was happy and excited!! and so did brittany s. we were like "YES! GO US!" lol. but for sum reason...i only hit my triple when im doing fast movements. cuz his choreography is QUICK, so u have no time to think of n e thing. all u can do is just keep going. and thats wut i did, and i got a triple. then it ended at 12:45. woo hoo! lunch time! we went to the wildcats food court. man! if only CHS's foot court looked the food court they had at U of A...then i would SO sit inside everyday lol. i wanted to go to panda express but they had a huge ass line. so i just went to mcdonalds. then we had to head back to U of A at 2:00-ish to take the master class. and that class was FUUUN!!!!! i luved the dance!! and the person who was an assistant. omgosh! he was amazing! and REALLY CUTE too lol. all the guys here r cute, mostly guy dancers tho. then at 4-ish, we headed back to the hotel to get ready for dinner. sum ppl wanted to eat at johnny rockets...but im really not a burger(fatty) fan. so i went to pei wei's again. gosh..i am such a food/money waster. lol. i order the vietnamese spring rolls again, that i ate all of again. and then i order this chicken pai tei noodle. and i prolly only took a big scoop of it, and i was done lol. then we went to go see another concert. omgosh....there were 30 sumthing pieces!! i was like!! o hecks no!!! and mostly all the pieces had fuates! i was getting tired of fuates after like the 5th piece. then on like the 3rd intermission...i was ready to leave. so me, 9 other ppl and mrs. starner all headed back to the hotel while other ppl stayed w/ buren. we had to pack everything, cuz we were leaving the hotel in the morning and not coming back. n e ways. we were having fun that night. me, flip, and amber first went to the gift shop, and bought sum advil for flip. cuz she was getting headaches and cramps. and guess wut...she had her period...we told her if her if she was going to have it...we're going to kill her cuz none of us wants it lol. but yea. then we went back to our hotel and had LOADS of fun there. justin (photo justin) called. so we were talking to him. we were playing pass around the justin...cuz flip would talk to him, then put the phone down and do sumthing and just leave him on the line. then we'd take turns and talk to him lol. omgosh, and then that night...we were talking to him...he was on the phone for 45 mins....and prolly only 10 mins, we talked to him lol. we put him on mute most of the time...cuz of wut we were talking about that night was about him. lol. and it was funny, cuz he would sing and whistle lol. we were just cracking up. and wutever we did/say in that room, stays in that room. all i cant prolly say, and is that it was all dirrty lol. n e ways. then we just maade a pile on 1 bed lol. kavya got her own bed, cuz she fell asleep b4 us. me, amber, flip, and paige all piled onto 1 bed and were comfy lol. but the like at 2/3 in the morning...me and flip woke up...cuz it got cold. so we just went back to sleep in our own bed lol.
sunday:
woke up at 6 again. left at 7. we went to starbucks to for breakfast. i of course got vanilla bean w/ carmel, and i got bagel w/ cream cheese. then we went to the gittings at 9. we were doing lyrical jazz w/ susan quinn. omgosh!! she is HILARIOUS!! lol. and her choreography was unbelievable. she does alot of cantracting w/ the body and we were doing a combo where we have to escape from the box, and then want to be in the box and stuff like that. i luv the way she teaches. and i luv her combo. it was cool. then we got to pic to either take ballet, modern, or tap. and i thot/was kinda hoping sam watson was gonna teach modern, so i took it. i was SO wrong. i shou;d've just taken ballet. cuz the modern one was kinda boring. ballet prolly would've been more challenging and more fun to do for me. then we went to lunch. ate at mcdonalds again. then we went to the ballroom where our master class was. omgosh!! every dancer who was going to the jazzshow case was there. and it was PACKED!!! good thing we went early, and we got the front. or else we would've been in the back sumwhere. and i think susy taylor was teaching that class. OMGOSH!!! that master class was HARD!! lol. like the first time i learn the combo, i was lost! theres so many diff directions to turn to, and MANY different turns. and i was sad...cuz like after it was over and i finally got the combo lol. n e ways. we were suppose to leave at 4. but they didnt finish accouncing the scholarships until about 4:30. then we went to our hotel to get our bags. then we left to go home. it was kinda weird...cuz on the bus ride there...everyone was tired and went to sleep for the 1st hr, but then like the last hr, everyone was up and singing and laughing. it was the total opposite than fridays. then arrived at school at 6:30. my dad picked me up. got home. unpacked everything...then repacked things i need for 2morrow. whew! then ate dinner. got on the net for a bit. got off. and idk how he knew....but my friend kyle came over. he said there was a party going on...but i so was not in the mood to go. i just wanted to go to sleep lol. but he kept me awake. and he left around 11-ish. then i finally went to sleep. i was knocked out lol.
so that was my whole weekend!! i hope u guys had fun reading the novel lol. o yea!! i almost forgot!! on saturday, they had these dee's dancewear clothes sale. and so i was looking around. and i saw 2 cute mesh long sleeve shirts. so i bought it. its really awesome! 1's like fishnets...but its the whole shirt. then the other is a REALLY think material mesh shirt. and i was just wearing that 1 half way sunday lol. i fold it up, so look like a half shirt. and it looked cool that way, so i kept it. well im gonna go now. fingers r kinda tired
