Obviously there are certain genres (R&B, rap, jazz, etc) which I've missed out due to not liking very much other than the occasional moment. The list below are artists, by definition, I should like...but don't.
Grateful Dead
Perhaps simply not jangly guitar enough and no female vocalist to balance the sound.
The Clash
I remember listening to their first two albums when I was about 14 and simply thinking they weren't a patch on Siouxise And The Banshees and the Buzzcocks. It may be worth me having another try as I've quite enjoyed some of the album tracks when thrown up randomly on some streaming service or another.
Bob Dylan
I love documentaries about him, I can't knock the songwriting, obviously, but only really like Dylan when he isn't doing the singing.
Neil Young
See Dylan.
Pink Floyd
I remember having Pink Floyd played to me incessantly by friends from around the age of 15 to the end of university. With or without the benefit of drugs they never ever gelled with me and induced nothing other than absolute boredom in me.
Nick Cave
I've no doubt Nick Cave is very entertaining in person and have often enjoyed interviews I've seen/read, but musically sends me into a coma. Probably fair to say his stuff simply isn't up-tempo enough for me.
