Why I am not a singer-songwriter
My favourite album of 2014 so far is Suzanne Vega's " Tales From The Realm Of The Queen Of Pentacles".
Track 3 is entitled "I Never Wear White".
I can't help thinking that if I'd written the song, there would be a verse about not being able to eat anything tomato-based without getting it down myself and that the stains are a bugger to try and get out.
This is probably why I should never be let near an acoustic guitar when I'm in one of my 17-year-old, teenage-angst, bedroom-poetry, I-am-the-next-Joni-Mitchell "creative" moods.
