Ziiiip~

Doojoon peered quietly into Yoseob’s room as he put his own belongings in his hand held bag, getting ready to leave.

He knew there was something wrong from the day before, he just never pays attention to all of this, but he knew he should have. From the days that Yoseob started acting nervous to now…but it had never occurred to Doojoon that this would happen today. Of course, that is maybe because he wasn’t acting as good of a boyfriend he thought he should be. But…he never expected too much of himself either.

He doesn’t blame Yoseob that he wants to leave; he blames himself for not being able to make him stay. Which is pretty stupid according to Doojoon because he did make a promise to improve himself as a better boyfriend to Yoseob than he had been now, but that is his own thoughts on himself. His judgment that caused him to be frustrated right now with this situation happening in their very own apartment.

Doojoon slowly walked to where Yoseob was standing, only a few feet away from each other. He took a deep breath and looked at Yoseob and then his briefcase.

“I guess I’m leaving.” Yoseob sighed and then smiled.

Doojoon looked down on the floor, wishing this was all a dream and that it would just wisp away like smoke in the air. But obviously, that wasn’t going to happen.

He took a step closer and gave Yoseob a hug and he felt Yoseob’s hand resting on his back, gently moving up and down. He released him from his grip and looked him in the eye with a sad smile.

“Don’t be sad, we’ll see each other again. Wish me luck…?” Yoseob looked into Doojoon’s eyes.

And as expected Doojoon nodded in reply. Of course he wished him luck. Some kind of person he would be to pissed off at the moment of sadness. He feels like an idiot right now, not being able to keep the one person he loved the most from leaving his life forever. Ugh, how he wish to just slap himself right on the stop shouting “Yah! Yoon Doojoon! Wake up you idiotic bastard!” But…only in his mind that would be possible. He just stood there like a mental patient on drugs, not moving and no visible expression on his face. He saw Yoseob walk past him heading for the door. But he knows he’s got to do something to keep this from happening.

He grabbed Yoseob by the arms and had a tight grip, signally that he doesn’t want him to go.

“Don’t…don’t go.” He manages to say under his breath.

Yoseob looked confused and stared at Doojoon.

“Yah. You know I have to go. It’s the best for us. You know I need this.” He responded in a calm tone.

Oh what the fuck is happening here is what Doojoon was thinking. He knew he had no right to keep Yoseob by his side, he knew it wasn’t worthy of him. Why does he need to chain him up like some animal in a cage? He knows that he’s got to let him go sooner or later. And “sooner or later” as in right now.

He let his hand slip away from Yoseob’s small wrist. His arms drop to his side with his body turned half way to Yoseob.

Yoseob gently smiles at Doojoon and leaves the room. Leaving Doojoon there alone. He then took a seat on the soft bed thinking that is was the right thing for him to do. And that is was the best thing he could’ve done for Yoseob. He walked over to the kitchen and took a seat on the chair facing the island in his kitchen. He sat there for a few hours thinking about how he has done the right thing…or at least trying to convince himself that he has.

There’s no doubt he’s stoked and depressed about this whole situation. He feels like he’s going to cry, but no…he didn’t think it was the right thing to do. He picked up his glass up and pressed the rim of the cup on his lips and took a drink of water.

Click…

Doojoon turned his head to the door and just stares as someone barged into his apartment.

“Yahhh~ Doojoonie can you get me some ice tea please, I’m sooo exhausted!”

Doojoon’s mouth became a water fountain, pouring out his drink that he had in his mouth and onto the table and floor.

“Yoseob?!” Doojoon shouted.

Yoseob turned to Doojoon. He smiled and waved.

Water still dripping out of Doojoon’s mouth like he just had a stroke moments ago that caused him to be paralyzed from the waist up, it had almost looked ridiculous.

He kept his eye focused on Yoseob sitting casually on the couch, laid back and all turning on the tv.

“Dude! I thought you left!” Doojoon shouted, mouth still wide open.

“Yeah…I left then I came back.” Yoseob smiled.

“But…but I don’t get it. You LEFT.” Doojoon emphasized.

Yoseob glared at Doojoon with a smile and then spoke up.

“How long do you think a job interview takes? A million years? “ Yoseob laughed.

“Wait…job interview?! That’s why you left?!” Doojoon sighed in relief, still in shock though.

Oh god, isn’t this a relief. Doojoon sighed as he rested his hand on his heart. He ran over to Yoseob and gave him a big, warm hug. Promising to never let him go again, to be a better boyfriend, and to love him as if there were no tomorrow.

As Doojoon continued to embrace Yoseob, Yoseob shrugged and just hugged his boyfriend back. And of course, as confusing as this could be for Yoseob simply because he had no idea what was happening at this moment, he just decided to enjoy this moment and hope that is would last for a life time.

~~END~~

I didn’t want to add fluff to the genre cuz I didn’t want to give the ending away :)
