Guyana is not in Africa
Sometimes i don't get people and how they can be so rude. Since in the Army i haven't made very many good friends, but the ones i have made i've tried to hold on to. Since in AIT I've become good friends with "Joe" and she's my number one Battle. I think it's sad that in the year 2007 people still have problems with other people because of their race or the color of their skin. My battle cried today for the first time since we began AIT in November. She's a very, very strong female. mentally, emotionaly and physically. But some people are so ignorant. "Joe" is from Guyana and she is very proud of where she comes from. Guyana is in South American. You'd think that after living in the same room with "Joe" for 8 weeks someone would know this by now because "Joe" talks about it with pride. It's not in Africa, why do people automatically assume that If a dark skinned person is not born in the United Sates, they MUST have been born in Africa. And after being told time and time again IT"S NOT IN AFRICA... some people still mess with her about it. UGH... im so ready to get out of here and get away from these ignorant, ignorant people.
