Akanishi's solo debut single features two self-composed songs. Eternal isn't new as he's sung it live MANY times since the start of 2010, and Murasaki has been around for even longer. Both are really good songs that lend well to his voice. I sort of dislike the studio version of Eternal, the live versions for which I love beyond what words can express. Stunning. ♥ I don't know if it's intentional, but he sounds strangled in the studio version, which totally broke my heart because when you hear it live, you might understand why I think it's one of the most beautiful things ever. In January I was telling Ria: "I'll never buy this single!"... hm, well that didn't work. I can't ignore that it's still one of my favourite songs, even if I love the live version million folds more. He sounds like his good old self in Murasaki. :) Great song too. :D
