★ Ria's Top 10 Songs of 2010
I'm posting my ranking this year 2 days late from previous years. 2010 was a disappointing year for Kpop, Jpop, and Cpop. :( I'm particularly saddened that Kpop was not great. Why now when I was already living in Korea?! How ironic. I've only managed to list my Top 10 songs of 2010, as opposed to previous years ( 2007, 2008, 2009) when I was able to do either 15 or 20. I could have posted more than 10 but when I looked at my draft list, I saw the same singers in it so I decided to pick my most favorite song per singer/album. Oh well, here goes...
Ria's Top 10 Songs of 2010
01 Tae Yang - I need a girl (feat. G-Dragon) --> This song from Tae Yang's first full-length album was my most looped song of 2010 and I believe it deserves to be on top. Hearing it would remind me of 2010 and when I think of 2010, I'll remember this song. I really like the choreo of this song. Very sexy. XD
02 Utada Hikaru - Goodbye Happiness --> The first time I heard this song, I was in love. <3 Actually, all the songs listed in this year's ranking are songs that have made me fall in love at first listen. :D My favorite part of the song is the bridge: Oh oh oh darling darling dare ka ni nani ka etari shimasen Only you~♫ I love the part where Utada Hikaru goes higher and higher in her notes! HAHA! I try to sing with her but I obviously fail. That part is really nice to sing because I always get on the verge of breaking my vocal cords. HAHA!
03 2NE1 - 아파 (SLOW) --> My favorite song off 2NE1's first album. If not for this song, 2NE1's album would have been very disappointing. ^^; I hope in their next albums, I won't be hearing any traces of Eh eh eh~♫ I'm sick of it.
04 Brown Eyed Soul - With Chocolate --> I really love the beats of this song. I'm very happy that Brown Eyed Soul always manages to make me love at least one song in their albums (My Everything and Nothing Better). For me, as long as there is one song that I like in an album, I'll buy it. This is opposite of Stacey, who will not buy an album because there is only ONE song she doesn't like in it. How unfair of her! HAHA! How I love you~♫
05 Se7en - Better Together --> This song is not exactly a super duper ear candy. ^^; However, it has managed to become a theme song of me and Stacey! Heeeheee~ Our most favorite part of the song is this: You know we better together/Gotta gotta get it together/You know we better together/We we we gotta make it forever~♫ Aside from it being the only lines we could understand, we totally can relate to the lyrics! <3
06 GD&TOP - Oh Yeah (feat. Park Bom) --> How lucky and deserving! This song's included in the duo's album, which was just released 4 days ago. ^^ It's an appropriate song to end 2010 and welcome 2011!!! :D OH YEAH! OH YEAH! OH YEAH! I love the combination of all three voices in this song! ^^ So, who's blasting this on New Year's Eve? Hehe! XD
07 Tae Yang - Connection --> Off SOLAR's international version! As predicted, this song did rank in my 2010 list! ^^ I looped this quite a number of times, but mostly on my iPod so it didn't turn up in my lastfm ranking. Heehee~ Cute R&b-ish song.
08 BoA - This Is Who I Am --> Possibility came in close but I decided to put this song in my list. I think it was a great opener to BoA's IDENTITY album. I'd have to say that it's very apt, title-wise and song-wise.
09 Gummy & Bobby Kim - Love Recipe --> I owe my Top 9 and 10 songs to Subway restaurant! If not for their music playing in the restaurant, I won't have heard those two gems! This is such a cute duet song! Eeeep~ If you still haven't heard of it, I'm highly recommending it. The chorus is so adorable. You don't have to understand the lyrics to get the fluffy feeling inside. Hehe!
10 4MEN - U --> This song is unassuming because the intro might sound bland. It's the chorus that pulls you in. ^^ Unlike Gummy & Bobby Kim's song, this 4MEN song is a mellow R&B song that if sung by a guy to a girl, it will make her tear up because it's a touching song. :D
