Elva's 11th studio album finally hit shelves recently. I've seen track lists with 11 songs but this album officially has 12 songs in the order listed here (which I've tagged as the album came), although there are really 10 full tracks. The title track, Xiao Sa Xiao Jie, was really disappointing - her voice sounds tragic, among many other things - and unfortunately that shaped the rest of the album for me so I may never get over that initial disappointment. Actually the dance tracks are generally very blah, the ballads are so-so and her voice sounds weak and strangled in a number of songs. I'm rather disappointed with the overall finished product, as a result. :( I miss old Elva music. That said there are some memorable tracks and my fav two are Rang Ai Fei Qi Lai and Meng Jing II. :)
