LANDS is a temporary project unit made of Akanishi Jin (KAT-TUN) on vocals and Kobayashi Takeshi (genius and legendary musician and producer, who's worked with Southern All Stars, Mr. Children and others) as the producer. LANDS is a fictional band that appears in the movie, Bandage, screening from January 16, in which Akanishi Jin is leading and Kobayashi Takeshi is directing. BANDAGE is the theme song. It's an impressively produced and arranged mellow rock track with traces of electronica and synthesizer. Kobayashi plays the keyboard when they perform this, and the guitar parts are really awesome too. But ultimately, Jin's voice is what makes or breaks this song. It's not strong or clear, and appears muffled and almost like it's wavering from a distance at times. But his voice that sings almost too carelessly fits the mood and music absolutely. Love this. At several points, it's like the song gives the feeling of when you’ve dizzy, got a fever, drunk or something - when you're there but not quite there. Iunno~ :P
