181920 was released in 1998 prior to her materntiy hiatus and features tracks from her debut with Avex (Body Feels Exit) to her ninth single (Dreaming I was dreaming). The title refers to the ages - 18, 19, 20 - during which the songs featured on the album were released. I can't talk about this album without mentioning Can You Celebrate? (1997), which is the highest selling single by a female artist in Japan (individual link uploaded). 181920 sounds totally old school and 90's and I LOVE IT. Best Fiction was released last year (ten years after 181920) and was the second highest selling album in Japan for 2008. It features singles released between 2002 and 2008 (from Wishing on the Same Star to 60s 70s 80s). Do Me More and Sexy Girl are new tracks. I adore Do Me More and Wishing on the Same Star (both individual links uploaded), and WHAT A FEELING is also a favourite. ;) Namie Amuro may be 32 but there's a reason why she's the only artist with million-selling albums during her teens, twenties and thirties. 2008 showed further revival of popularity in her career, with her first #1 single in almost ten years and a 1.5 million selling album. Hope to see her around much longer because she is such an icon and so amazing. <3
