I don't think I'm the only one who realises how much effort oct23ria puts into uploading all kinds of files... especially since most of the concerts and performances she uploads aren't for her personal viewing but because she knows we have a lots of fans here in the community who enjoy them. She's also been doing a lot of reuploading lately. She doesn't say or complain much, but at times she's mentioned that a reuploaded file has gotten in excess of 1000 downloads in a day or less and not one person has commented. All our other regular uploads find the same situation too, but we usually get at least one comment (yay). Bottom line: if you're a member or passing by, please drop a comment when you can after downloading.
It has also come to my attention a few minutes ago that it's not only here that people are downloading the files. I just came across a Blog and was looking through the concerts and happened to find a YUI concert post which looked familiar - that, and the last 5-10 YUI posts on this community had been directly copied, links and all. I found it horrifying as I really didn't expect a big media blog to do things like that.
It's really quite simple. popsicalove is kept public so anyone can come and download anything. If you download something, a comment once in a while at least would be nice. Seeing a few thousand downloads and 1 or 2 comments is very saddening. If you want to reupload any files, feel free to do so. If you copy our links and repost elsewhere however, YOU MUST CREDIT US WITH A LINK.
So to those people hotlinking, PLEASE STOP STEALING OUR LINKS. I will start getting angry.
