A slightly greater than 24 hour trip, but fun none the less. I arrived at my friend Pat's house about 4:30pm and had some fun visiting for a bit. Then he made a most awesome dinner... Cajun food. AKA: A Big 'ol Mess with a cajun style crab cake on the side. Delish. Its fun being cooked for. A couple of glasses of red wine with dinner and good conversation led us to losing track of time and rushing to get ready and to the theater on time.
The purpose of this visit to Dallas was to see a play by the Pegasus Group in Dallas.
http://www.pegasustheatre.org/bw.html We saw Full Moon Murders. Its a great deal of fun and just really creative. It was worth the trip, even not counting the fun with friends. We had met up with Brigette and Jason, Larry and Lyndee, and Candace and her fella for the play. Then we met up with Paul after the play at Cafe Brazil. Pat and I made it back to the house somewhere around 1 am. It was fun to sit around and talk and visit with everyone, even if Lyndee wasn't feeling all that happy since she had quite a bad week. Pat and I continued to visit for several hours after we got back. Not much sleep but a real good time. And because I was such a good girl, I got a personal concert this morning before we finally made it out the door to lunch.
Yummy lunch at Mi Cocina and then on the road for me. Made it to White Hall about 6 pm. Picked up what I needed for the state board meeting tomorrow and visited with my friend Tee for a bit. Glad to see that her drama has shifted around and she is feeling more herself.
I finally made it home about 7:30. I am dragging pretty hard right now, so I think I am going to go have a bath and crawl in bed. I have an early morning tomorrow and need some sleep.
Thanks, Mensans for another great trip. And to Pat for playing hotel for me.
