Over Commitment and Me...
After spending the week redoing my kitchen, its time to really over commit for the weekend! I honestly don't know how I end up in these situations. Okay, I do... I tend to slip up and think I can do more than I really can. Or I forget minor events and then they pile up.
This weekend, I have a turkey run for ABATE. We are donating 30 turkeys to area needy families through a local charity shop. We'll ride from our clubhouse to the shop and meet the press and then have lunch after turning over the turkeys. After I am finished with that, I will join Dave and the kids up in Fayetteville (3 hour drive from here) for an over night trip so that Devin can attend an Anime Festival there. We are staying with my friend Melissa. She is having a cookout for us to meet some of her friends. I am hoping to get in some shopping while I am up there. Then back home on Sunday, to start cleaning up the house and getting ready to 1. paint the other rooms downstairs. and 2. start prepping the house for christmas.
plus I need to write my christmas letter, write my christmas cards, take the picture of the kids for the cards, and address and stamp the cards...
ABATE wise I have to prep all the minutes and paper work to hand over to the new secretary in December. Prep for the Christmas parade and Christmas Party. Have a board meeting. And a general meeting with elections... where I will find out if I am president or not.
Mensa wise, I am heading to Dallas Wednesday for the Regional Gathering. I'll be there through Sunday. And I have another trip planned to go back there around the 15th for some shopping and a Christmas dinner with friends.
Somewhere in there are about 10 birthdays, a family tree trimming party with my mom, and I need to get a tree and ornaments up to my cousin.
Is it January yet?
