The letter we are sending out to distant relations and friends who expect the letter each year. There is a picture of penguins stacked together making a tree at the begining of the letter and at the end of the letter is another holiday Penguin.
Merry Christmas, 2006 ~
It’s that time of year again… Penguin Season! Our family hopes this finds you well and happy as this year comes to a close.
We’ve managed to have a few adventures, many good times with family and friends, and even our first family vacation…
Devin turned 13 years old this year. She’s in the 7th grade, is in advanced band where she plays the flute, and enjoys Science, English, and keyboarding. In her spare time, she eats lives and breaths computers, videos games, and science fiction. Yes, she has turned into her father’s daughter.
Rebecca is all about being social, being active, and talking on the phone. She is in the 4th grade at Caldwell Elementary and is 9 years old. Reading has become one of her favorite things to do, but she is also very much into movies, music and playing with her little brother.
Timmy is 5 now and started kindergarten this year. He loves going to school with his sisters, although he isn’t too thrilled with riding the bus. He’s a lot of fun, loves to play outside and tells the most interesting stories.
Dave picked up a new hobby this year, when he received a Digital SLR camera for his birthday. He’s been enjoying playing around with it in between cleaning the house… since we are trying to sell our house so that we can move to White hall. 3 kids + house for sale = constant cleaning.
We took a break from the cleaning in September to go to Disney world! The kids were almost as thrilled as I was to go see Mickey Mouse. It honestly couldn’t have gone better. We might have to try that vacation thing again some day…
My year… lots of ups and downs. I traveled a lot. I ended up leaving my job with ABATE, but am still very involved with it as a member. I’ve been a blond, a redhead, a brunette and had cotton candy pink hair. And I’ve said goodbye to far too many friends and family members. I am more grateful than ever for each and every one of you, thanks for hanging around.
I am hoping for a better 2007… not just for me, but for all of us. Have a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
With love, as Always…
Jenni, Dave
Devin, Becca and Timmy Ewing
