I'm very excited about my latest lunch concoction. It's nothing more than a grilled cheese, but I've been using onion-flavored flatbreads the past few days. Instead of using butter on the outside, I swab the pan with olive oil. I added some rosemary & pepper to the cheese today, and that was yum-tacular. Best not to over-do it on the cheese, though... otherwise it won't melt evenly. Served with hummus & carrots.
I've been eating veggie the past couple days. Not consciously, but just because my family doesn't believe in having meat in the house (and God forbid we freeze any of it in our EMPTY freezer). Also, it might be an excellent detox for my bacon-loving ways from this weekend. My stomach was feeling really grumbly from Thursday through Sunday, and I'm not sure exactly what caused it. Whenever I ate, I would feel all sorts of terrible pains in my abdomen. Not ulcer-ish pains (or what I would imagine them to feel like... I have thankfully never had one to my knowledge), but they were definitely not comfortable. On Friday night, I felt so yucky that I couldn't do anything but lay in bed and watch tv. Thankfully, that's passed and I'll just have to be careful about what I eat. Oddly enough, the beer and dessert-type foods I gorged on during Monday's movie night didn't seem to bug me.
My first sock is coming along pretty well... I've just gotten past the ball of my foot, and am thinking that I need to knit a little more before increasing for my heel. It's fitting all right so far, but I think I need to make some adjustments in my next sock or pair for my gargantuan feet. You'd think that since Paris Hilton also has size 11 feet, more people would be aware that shoes need to go past a size 10. Granted, she's not everybody's favorite and her sex tape looks like someone's doing an alien in Iraq, but I feel for her in the shoe department.
