[051] cinderella don't you go to sleep. it's such a bitter refuge

I love dreams, seriously.

Tuesday night, I couldn't sleep for the longest time. However, when I did manage to fall asleep, I slept deep, man. It was one of those dreams that seem real. I was in an underground temple with my brother, dad and dog. For some reason we were down there searching for something, but were stuck in one hallway and the only way out was to go even deeper underground, where there was no light to see (now that I think about it, this might've been inspired from watching too much FMA Brotherhood). I knew that my dad was the only one of us who knew how to use magic, though Martin and I could fight. The three of us talked a bit before going to sleep on the stone floor (I remember Lincoln coming to lay down beside me).

I 'woke up' in the dream a little while later, on my side, and found that I couldn't move or speak; just gasp. I knew instantly that we were being attacked and wondered angrily why no one had been on watch. I tried to yell for my dad, but only choked. I struggled to crawl over to where he lay, and somehow managed it. Doing so, I caught a glimpse of our attacker. It was a skeletal old man, almost bald and with large eyes. It was leaning over Martin and I knew I had to stop him somehow. I got to my dad, but he was frozen halfway into a sitting position, like the thing had caught him before he could retaliate.

Everything was cold. I grabbed onto my dad's foot (it was freezing, like liquid Nitrogen) as the thing turned towards us and instantly thought 'Oh my God, it's Winter Death'. The old man (like those zombies in Orcarina of Time when you're old Link) loomed over me and I knew that as long as I could break it's spell on me I would be able to defeat it. So I struggled against it, trying to yell and move my arms. It was like fighting against a wave.

Finally, I broke through and screamed.

And that's when I woke up yelling a battle cry, my hands in fists, halfway out of my bed.

Steph was still up and her reaction was: "...Well, that was interesting."

I couldn't stop laughing. I kept imagining it from her point of view, just dozing when all of a sudden her roommate wakes up yelling. HILARIOUS. It still makes me giggle. Lol.
