i was walking in the quad today and realized that i needed to update my livejournal. pathetic? yeah, i know. eat shit, you fucking worthless assface. what was the last good thing you did with your life? yeah, thats what i thought. now let me do nothing of value with my life. thanks.
Corey had the idea to shoot something the other day and we never got around to it. go figure, huh? and watching what i have been watching recently, i realized what i want to do if given the chance. no, fuck that. if i really want to do this, im going to make the chance myself.
its so easy to make something that people can get behind. some asshole wrote a book once and now everyone reads it and some people say its their life. you can make a movie and have a billion people say it means something to them. tv shows, commercials, a sticker with your bands name on it? yeah, go for it. i really want to make something like that.
i'm going to write a script over xmas/chaukicah/kwanza/festivus break and when i come back im going to see if my friends dig it. if so i want to turn it into a ten minute piece of something or something else. put some music to it. have a few cameos from people i consider friends and make it something that people want to see. it is going to be funny but more important than that its going to be cute. and not in the way my girlfriend is but in the way a personalized mailbox is. or a quilt your grandmother made you. lots of heart. personal. worth sharing.
i hope i get a chance to write it in this mode because this is when i produce things that i actually like. does anyone i know have a scriptwriting software? i would dig it.
im thinking something superhero like. but not normal superhero bullshit. i just want this thing to be epic. mystery men + pete and pete + pete landry + orignal ideas that arent just me copying those first two parts of the equation = maybe what i want. i guess we will see.
lets hope everything goes a-ok. ill check in with myself every chance i get.
