Goodbye Ruby Tuesday evening morning slurpy
Got back from a weekend at South Padre Island yesterday with Jarod and his family. Was good fun happy times. It was a bit cloudy and chilly though. Did a dolphin watch cruise that was lotsa fun. I nearly died. Stopped for only like 3 hours in san antonio on the way back during which time the nectar of the gods was acquired- aka Scouzzi's Chicken marsala. On a sad note though, as we were heading out to go to eat we ran across an old retired priest wandering our neighborhood. He was very lost both physically and mentally and we ended up giving him a ride back to the monastery down the street. We think he had a bad fall and was a bit traumatized cause by the time he got in the car he had already pooed himself and cut up his hand. My sister's car obviously had to be cleaned thoroughly. Sad stuff that was.
Been working at my new job waiting tables at Abuelo's alot lately too. Not making much money yet but hopefully that will change soon so I can start saving to pay for a few things ranging from new furniture to a vacation to Mexico with Jarod this summer. Speaking of which, if anyone is interested in tagging along for some hardcore partying and maybe some scuba diving drop me a line.
A random perk about my new job came up today though. I went to eat lunch with Jarod today at Chili's after work and this old man at the bar totally bought me a drink because he recognized my work uniform. He told me how much he loved Abuelo's and how awesome the food was and how he thought the service was just always above and beyond anywhere else. Made me feel pretty good. Talked to him a bit before returning to my table with Jarod, an El Presidente margarita in hand curtesy of the gentleman I'd just met. Fun times getting free drinks while still underage. Those things are HUGE though and oh so tasty. I admittedly was a bit tipsy when we left since I was determined to finish it before I left. Good stuff.
Jarod leaves tonight for Louisiana and the ol' oil rig. I'm going to miss him so friggin much. He'll be back in a week though so that'll be good. I just don't feel too good about him working offshore with a broken arm (funny story involving a skim board and lack of grace).
