I haven't updated you on my adventures in China! Yesterday we went to Wuxi and visited some buddhist center that has one of the biggest Buddha's in China. The foot was as tall as me! The climb up the stairs was a hard feat but we made it up there....all sweaty and stuff but we made it. Then we went to another building to get dry watch a show about Buddha or something.... I didn't understand, it was in Chinese hahaha, but it was awesome. In the afternoon we went to eat to an Indian restaurant. After eating Chinese almost every day Indian food was not that great in my opinion (maybe it was because I wasn't hungry at all yesterday). What I've noticed about Chinese food is that everything is cooked. I haven't seen a single raw vegetable or piece of meat in my food. Also, the food comes to your table scalding hot! Same goes for tea, so be careful if you come to China, blow on your food before putting it inside your mouth hahahahaha.
Today was a slow day. My mom and my aunt went to the pearl market to buy necklaces and stuff (I had already gone with them two days ago so I skipped today) and my cousin and I stayed home and watched a movie which wasn't so good. Now he's watching a Chinese movie called Red Leaf that is apparently really good.
Today I saw a store named TVXQ. Yes. TVXQ. They had a poster of my five favorite boys inside (I think there were two...) but when we went inside two things happened: One, the women inside stared at my cousin and I weirdly; and two, there was nothing TVXQ related inside except for the posters. Boo.
I saw Pocky of all flavors (Ok, I'm lying but there is green tea flavored pocky here!) and now I'm regretting asking Nancy for some (she went to Japan) because they're so cheap here. Nothing like in Mexico!! That's right down robbery I say....
Tomorrow we're going to Shanghai and we're probably going to the Expo. I hope I can go to the S. Korean pavillion. Scratch that, I'M GOING TO THE S.K PAVILLION!! That sounds better. My aunt says there aren't a lot of people in the Mexican pavillion, I'm sad waaaa.
My aunt went ballistic at my cousin and I today because we went to look around in a little mall we went to. I think she just gets mad at us because she's frustrated at her husband but that's not my fault nor is my cousin's. She and my mom were picking out clothes for my little nephews, we were just standing there doing nothing and they would take us hurriedly through the really interesting stores so I told them we were going to look around and we left. When we returned my aunt started shouting at us saying how we shouldn't have done that, that they couldn't know where we were and that they had no way of communicating with us. My cousin told her that we could've taken a taxi back home but she kept arguing and then I told her that she shouldn't be getting mad but she just kept spewing out pointless stuff that I wasn't willing to listen to anymore so I just let her be. Later on she said that it wouldn't be such a tragedy that we got lost and went back ourselves and I wanted to slap the living lights out of her, but she's still my aunt, she's as stubborn as my mom (and their other sister) and that's the way it's going to be always so I better get used to it. I just hate how she's taking us to do the things she needs to do and hurrying us around when she already knows all that but it's new to us and we want to look around.
I miss my kittens and I miss having my own computer, but I think I could live here and live very comfortably if it came to that. The language barrier is frustrating though. We can only say "Thank You" "Hello" "Good bye" "I see but I don't understand" and "I hear but I don't understand". ... oh and cat, which is "mao" LOL.
I've been watching KBS World and Music Bank a lot hahahaha, be jealous!!
That's all, byeee!!
