Alrighty Ladies and Gentlemen...buckle your safety belts...here comes my update....
Thursday night was our weekly Car Bomb night. I wanted to join the Century Club, so my family tree and I started at 10:40pm. I made it to 50 shots, while the boys dropped out around 35. I still love them though:) Let's just say I was passed out before midnight. The alcohol went straight through me. Props to Cotter for taking care of me and winning the SGA Senate seat:) Mal helped me out by passing me candy corn and Sean hooked me up with some water. Aww...I love F8...good times.
Okay, so this weekend was phenomenal. I booked it back to Williamston early on Friday, missing my CHEM class, which apparently I had a pop quiz in. Not too happy about that, so an e-mail will be sent to the teacher. I got home around 2:30 and went to see Brian's grave. Long story short, the summer after I graduated high school, a boy one year younger than myself was killed in a car accident. Apparently, all the passengers and the driver were under the influence of drugs and alcohol. They crashed into a tree doing 120mph and only one lived to tell about it. A big memorial was put up and they finally gave him a headstone a couple weeks ago. I wasn't that close to him, but he was in a couple of my classes. I go and "talk" to him, whenever I need to vent or unfrustrate myself.
My dad and I went to the Williamston/Perry football game. It was a pretty close game, but we ended up winning. My high school guard did an awesome job and I was asked to coach them next year. You know how when you are in something, looking out, you think that you are on top of the world, and that you are the best? But then, you graduate, or quit, and you go back to watch and realize....you weren't that good? That's how I feel about my high school band. Since I was used to an 80 member band and a 12 member guard, I thought that that was the norm. After my college marching band experience, I realized that Williamston barely scraped the surface. Oh well, at least I have a chance to be in Central's band.
Saturday I slept in and lazied around the house until we went to Pizza Hut! YAY PIZZA! We came home and we all did our own things. Around 8ish, we carved pumpkins. Mine was cool with a bunch of bats flying out of a belltower. We finished up around 10:30 and then I headed to Howell. I arrived there late because of the rain, but Cotter and I decided to go to Eastern for her friend's Leah birthday. It took us about 45 minutes to get there in her dad's Lincoln Town Car and we had a nice chat:) We arrived around midnight but wasted no time drinking. We took a kamikaze shot and downed three beers. We missed our Phi Tau boys, so we called all of them, several times. Apparently we missed one hell of a party in Mount Pleasant, but we had a blast in Ypsi. We stood on the roof, shouted things at police officers and stole corn stalks and a newspaper from downtown. Always good times with Cotter and Poppy. I headed back to Williamston around 3am and hit the hay.
Sunday consisted of unpacking, meeting, going to Arby's with Amy, and Dinner Bell with my crew. Way to look for haunted places in Mount Pleasant. We thought we were all cool walking up to the old psych hospital, but it turned out to be a school for the American Indians. Who would have known? LOL...
I am looking forward to a great week, full of exams and fun. I'm sorry for this long entry, but I had a great weekend:)
You all better be out at the IM Fields cheering on ASA as we take on ZTA....Wednesday 8pm...We are going to win....unlike everyone says:)
By the way, does anyone think we will win against Western on Saturday?
Anyhoo, have a good day and I will update you again soon!
