Super Bowl Sunday!!
It's Super Bowl Sunday!! Yay! A good excuse to eat a lot of food, drink, & have a good time with friends! Plus, it's in DETROIT!!! :)
So, I went home Friday night & went downtown with my family. OMG...I can't believe how awesome it was down there! Who would've thought that Detroit would ever be hopping like that??! It was really unbelievable! There was so much going on, people everywhere...seriously, if there is ever a time to actually feel safe in the city, it is definately this weekend (despite the shooting that happened right near Campus Martius park on Friday night). The city looked so clean too! It definately looked good for all those who came in from out of town! We didn't see any celebrities (darn!), unless you count Kenny Maine, who was on "Dancing with the Stars" and is an ESPN sportscaster. We were walking behind a couple of ESPN guys, and of course, my dad wanted to follow them to see where they were going, so we did for a while. We went to the Ren Cen where all the media is, and let me tell you, it was crazy! More TV and radio stations than I've ever seen in one place! I guess the whole thing just amazed me! I mean, to have the Super Bowl in Detroit...how awesome is that?!?! I took some pictures when we were down there, so I'll have to post them on here as soon as I can figure out how.
My stay at home was short....I came back here yesterday cuz I have a lot of homework to do, and now I'm working on it until I have to go to this stupid dance concert for one of my classes at 3. Seriously, who makes us go to some concert on Super Bowl Sunday?!? I'm a little pissed, and I know I'll probably fall asleep during it. Plus, it's supposed to be 3 hours long, which means it'll go til 6, & kick-off's at 6:30! Looks like I'll be getting to Steve's just in time! We'll be watching the game on the big screen! :)
