[The familiar thwip of an arrow hitting its target draws Kikyou out. This girl hasn't been doing this for very long, she can tell. Still, she's not bad, especially with that splint weighing her arm down. Kikyou will just stand there silent, arms crossed, watching, not wanting to bother her while she's practicing.]

[ Kikyou's so quiet that Xion takes longer to notice her than the others. Even after Xion finishes what's left of her arrows and stands there in silence for a moment, it's not until she goes to retrieve them from her target and return to her starting point that she sees Kikyou standing there.

Xion headtilts curiously, returning her arrows to her quiver before speaking. ] Hello.

Mmm... I think so. [ she lifts her arm to look at it. ] I've been resting it for weeks, so I think it should be mostly healed by now. It takes a little longer to pull the arrow back now, but it's not too bad.

[Kikyou's eyes narrow slightly. It'll take longer to heal if she keeps aggravating it while practicing. Then again, she doesn't know the situation. It was up to this girl to be responsible and not overdo it. There's a difference between dedication and stupidity.]

I'd like to see you do another round, if you're up for it.

[ thank you, Kikyou. she'll be good after this, really! just ... this one morning. Xion looks at her for a quiet moment, then smiles faintly and nods.

she resumes her position from earlier, pulling an arrow from the quiver, and off she goes again. her form and the way she holds the bow isn't perfect -- there are adjustments to be made. but she does a decent job of it, a least, for someone who has only been learning for a month. ]

[Kikyou merely sits down and watches. She can see things that she'd critique move your left arm slightly don't grip the bow quite so hard, but she'll say nothing unless Xion asks.]

[ methodically -- and somewhat mechanically as the repetitive motions let her drift off into her thoughts -- Xion empties the quiver all over again. it's only once she's done that she comes back to herself a little, looks at her work, then glances at Kikyou. ]

Not very long... I guess since the end of July or so.
