[ jacob hates hospitals. he hates them almost as much as he hates funerals.

it's something deeply ingrained in him. memories of a rainy night and once too many trips with billy make it hard for him to find any comfort in the pristine white... if he had it his way, he'd never have to set foot in another one again.

but he does. while he heals fast, others don't. other people need this. he's always at a bit of a loss when it comes to things like this. ]

Hey, Xion. [ he won't stay long. she needs her rest... but he has some encouragement. a project he was working on - originally a lazing wolf, transformed into the embodiment of strength. The proud lion is small enough to be worn on a necklace, but just as detailed as a large scale statue. ]

[ She's awake when he walks in, but his entrance still startles her. Mostly because she forgets how goddamn huge he is a lot. Someday she'll get used to that...

She can't sit up, really, but she does turn her head to look at him, blinking. At first she's only looking at him, but then her gaze falls to the carving he's holding. Her brows knit, and she looks back up at his face questioningly. ]

Jacob...? [ ... is that for her? ]

Yeah. [ he flashes a friendly smile, dropping down into a chair that's probably a little too small for him. ] How are you feeling?

Better. It's easier to stay awake today. [ ... her smile quirks. ] You look like you don't really fit in this room. It's too little for you.

But her amusement fades to curiosity when he says that. Her eyes move again to the carving, then back up to his face, and her eyebrows draw up over her gentle smile. ]
