What is Love?
I'm not afraid to love and lose.
I'm a military kid, so having people pass through my life is actually pretty easy (in some ways,) for me.
I'm afraid no one will love me the way they do in stories.
Logically, I know love takes work and commitment, and time.
Theoretically, I just want someone to look at me and go, yep, that's her the love of my life. Let me woo you.
Sometimes I'm so afraid I won't find my life companion, I don't even try. What's the point? Not like I've had a serious relationship in 34 years, why start now?
The only time I've felt unconditional love towards someone else, it's been a family member, or my dog.
They say you can't be in love until you love yourself.
I'm afraid that's not going to happen, either.
