(no subject)
I have had to take a break from the boredom of the dreary task I'm having to do at the moment. I've having to manually change over 5000 records including finding them, then finding the data to change and then updating it.
But I'm succeeding in not getting worked up about things anymore. This also overflowed to the opticians lunchtime when I went in for my contact lens check only to find they need to change them yet again. I got moody but not annoyed! Although I am thinking about taking my own chair over there as I seem to be there all the time at the moment.
Apparently the lenses had been made up the second time with the wrong perscription again because they had lost the records of my last eye test. Which the consultant himself had done about two months ago. I reminded him of this when he said my records said I hadn't had a test since last July and he went and looked for the records and then organised an order for the correct lens and a pick up appointment for next week.
hoo hum!
My tree's up and looking really different than normal with the new decorations. I've taken some pics with my digicam so I may post them up if I can bear to go in the ultra freezing spare room to use the computer. I've also got my trusty fibre optic tree at work. It's about 5 years old now and I still haven't had to use the spare bulb yet - not bad for something that cost me £9.99!
I went to Jack's yesterday and was shocked to see the decorations being put up. I can't believe they beat me! Mum's much more in the Christmas spirit than I am!
They've got a new FarmFoods shop opened at Jack's and as I can never get all the way to the Chelmsford branch I bombarded the Witham one and ended up having to get a cab because I brought a whole freezer worth of food. I couldn't help it everything about £1 so I went crazy!!! I am now broke but at least I have food =)
As I was getting a cab I stayed late and waited for Ella to visit. She was very funny running around the place doing her 'housework' I arranged for her to get a telegram from Santa and she loves it and takes it everywhere!
I've got Wednesday off this week to watch Ella's first nativity play. Sadly she hasn't got the lead role of Mary which I had in my first but she's playing an Angel =)
Oh well back to the chore!
