Has anyone else ever thought about the fact that every movie or tv show out there invariably has a happy ending or a little lesson at the end, which leaves the stars of that particular culture either unbelievably happy, or at least spiritually cleansed? Well I was thinking about that today while I was watching a commercial about another high school glory on the sports field. I am so sick of these media inputs that tell the entire population of this planet that everything is going to be picture perfect sooner or later. What if it's not, what if, yeah our lives turn out ok, but there is no great past love that suddenly walks back into our life and changes everything? What if we don't go through some heroing experience and maybe everything doesn't work out like we planned but there is the promise of a better future. Instead we go through a fairly dull existance, don't ever really learn anything about ourselves and are never, ever remembered? Well, Maybe we would be completely content with our lives if it wasn't for these absurd dramatic events that show truly how life is not. But because of these things we are left wanting more, and are therefore let down when these things don't happen. So really, maybe we shouldn't even consider that these things may happen, because maybe then we will actually be able to enjoy our boring little lives and be satisfied that we won't be remembered.
