Somewhere along the line, I matured...

I've been looking forward to playing Monster Hunter all day, but my mind has been too preoccupied to do so. Damn, wasted my evening.

Honestly, I'm mostly stressed about school. Granted, the only class I'm taking this quarter is Geology 101, and I have a 98% overall grade, but I'm more concerned about school in the future. I'm overwhelmed with all the catching up I have to do since I'm a dumbass who waited until I was twenty-three to go back to school...ugh. I hate that I'm older than most of the other students in class.

Better late than never, I suppose.

In terms of catching up, though- I have to get my ass in gear, particularly in math. It's been so long since I took a math class (Eight years!) that I placed in algebra, which embarrasses me. It also frustrates me because I have to work my way through math classes up to Calc II before I get my A.S.-transfer, which means I have to take math every quarter...which in turn means lots of homework. Fabulous.

I also have no idea what four-year school I'm going to transfer to, let alone graduate school. I wish I would have gotten started on this five years ago- I'd already have my B.S., damn it! Now, for all intents and purposes, I'm a 23-year-old college freshman, and it irks me. I guess that's the main point here.

On a brighter note, I'm involved with some interesting things for the first time in a long while. Specifically, I'm in the gaming club at school, and through that, I am on the planning committee for Spokane ComiCon as one of the SCC Gaming Club reps. We're responsible for the any games at the convention. I'm pretty excited to watch this event come to fruition. It's been growing every year, and it's becoming kind of a big deal. I'm glad to be a part of it.
