It only took 18 months, but we've FINALLY decided on colors to paint the dining room: Flemish Blue and Sarsaparilla

Our favorite restaurant in town uses this flocked fabric in its seats and I intend to copycat them. The walls will be the light blue and the trim will be the dark brown. Then, I'm going to get some of this fabric and recover my chair cushions.

I'm reading this book right now.

A New Dawn
Your Favorite Authors on Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Series

I typically stay away from literary critisim-type books (reminds me of college lit class), but this one seems interesting. I was thinking the other day, what a fun lit class to focus on Bram Stoker's Dracula, Anne Rice's Interview with a Vampire (actually The Vampire Lestat would be a better read, IMHO), Twilight and Charlaine Harris' Dead Until Dark -- all very different novels, focusing on the same basic idea. Just think about all of the compare/contrasts you could do. My sophomore year, I took a lit class that focused on sci-fi/fantasy novels written by women -- Frankenstein, Interview with a Vampire, a novel by Octavia Butler (I can't remember the name), and one other that slips my mind now. It was a great class and the reading material was fun.

For the first time in about a week, I have energy to do stuff. #1 on my list...mop the kitchen floor. I sweep, get the mop, start the water in the bucket...no cleanser to clean the floor. Grrrrr...of course once I get the stuff, I will no longer have the energy or motivation to do it. Guess I'll go clean the bathroom instead. *sigh*

And now some new photos of the baby:
