Oh, fuck, this was brilliant and incisive -- I don't even have words. I really loved the insight into Tom's head, the second person POV really worked in a way I haven't seen it done before, and the last few paragraphs are just -- man. Such incredible writing, wow.

Thanks so much -- I'm glad you liked it. I know second person POV is not the most beloved choice (and rightfully so) but for some reason I got the urge to try it. I'm glad it worked for you.

God, this was just gorgeous - every line - every word - was just filled with want (both articulated and unarticulated). It sort of reminded my a little of Charles Bukowski; something about the atmosphere you created internally within Tom and how he related the world outside him. It was just so unspeakably poetic and I really adored this.

This is incredibly beautiful. I love how you describe stuff and everything going on in Tom's head. There are just too many amazing lines to quote, I wouldn't know where to begin. And also, Jon.

I really like the relationship dynamic between them there, it's very them. And the second-person POV worked for me, especially the last part of the story. Really great fic.
