I should have found something quicker to do.

Graphic Previews? Fuck off! When did they appear? At least they're easy enough to turn off.

Anyway, I'm going to do the meme thing that absinthecity did recently because it seems quite nice.

30 years ago I was
8 months old and living in West Winch, near King's Lynn in Norfolk. That's about all I know about that. No idea as to how mobile I was or if I was talking, although I know a record of things like my first words and steps were kept in a book somewhere.

Living in Cheshunt and hating the school I was in, in the last year of primary, because I'd only been there for a couple of months and was teased quite a bit for this reason. What also didn't help was that I seemed to be a bit smarter than most of them and the teachers made sure to point this out :( And I was crap at sports. I weighed 10 stone, so there was more bullying over that. Yet far worse than the mocking was that the school uniform for boys was shorts instead of trousers. I'm glad that I only had to put up with a year of that. Dark times...

Still in Cheshunt, last year of GCSEs. After a few very good years of actually having friends, borrowing and lending lots of Sega Master System games and not giving a crap that I was the only one still collecting Transformers, this year was a bit of a disaster. In order to branch out and make some new friends in other years and schools, I'd unfortunately managed to alienate several of my best ones. I was having a huge problem with spots too. This was also roughly the point where my hair decided that it didn't want to be blond anymore. I'm not sure how that works.

Final year at Hertfordshire University. I was driving there from Cheshunt as I'd used my student loans to buy a car. I'd learnt not to repeat my errors of five years ago, and as such got on pretty well with everyone on the same course as me. I'd also made quite a few friends via online video game forums, many of which I'm still in contact with now. I'd been to a few anime conventions too, since along with video games, anime had become a main hobby. My hair had not been cut for ages so it was quite long. Despite there being a lot going for me, this year turned out to be a bit too much to mentally deal with due to an ambitious final project, and apprehension over how I was going to make the transition from education to employment.

Living in Brockley, working for Otaku.co.uk. Lek had recently moved out, so I got to pinch his bigger room. But this put me closer to the noises that Kae and Andy made late at night :( shinin9_fin9er and Luke were 'working' with me now, and Jamie appeared to be over to help quite often. I can't recall what it was that drew him to the place! Lots of regular going out ensued as the work was now familiar enough to be under control (usually, maybe). Animecrap posts from late October 2002 make no sense at all. Something to do with Patrick Moore, Nuku Nuku and pants...

I think this was when I was doing jury service. My LJ entries suggest that this time was more about drinking and Hardgay though. Living near Olympia with Kate and absinthecity, but unemployed.

After buggering myself up earlier in the year, I was able to walk again. But with a limp and not particularly fast or quickly. But at least I was off the crutches. There isn't really a great deal to say, as I wasn't able to do much and otherwise my circumstances hadn't changed, except to say that Kate had moved out and Sarah had moved in, although Sarah has now left also.
