Today is the 24th, I turn 24 in a week...I feel so old.
I ran into some people from my high school class...people I haven't seen or heard from since graduation (2000). To my surprise, none of these people stuck with the overwhelming trend of being barefoot and pregnant (because it is the "Deep South").
I am convinced that most (99.9%) of my class are either A.) engineers B.) teachers, or C.) bums. Since I am neither a teacher or an engineer, that automatically makes me a bum. If you were apart of my class and disagree, please let me know so I can update this statistic.
It's funny when you talk to someone that you only went to school with, not your friend or your enemy, but someone that you was always cordial with but never really wanted to have a real conversation with. More than anything the heirarchy of high school gets really funny when you're finally out. I tried really hard to bear this one conversation today, but it just didn't happen even though I did maintain my composure. We were trying to think of people we graduated with. This girl named people in her clique (we'll say the popular kids). I was thinking of the guys I'm friends with (the loser/dork/nerd--insert band or theater in front of any of those if you wish). We just didn't mesh, although it was "aight" to see a face that I somewhat recognize from high school.
