So far so good. I spent this whole weekend at Alanah's house. So chaotic but fun. Kept it mellow and watched movies with some friends. Saturday we went to Eric's BBQ keg party in San Jose. I met some really cute punk girls who ended up being really nice despite looking like they could beat up any guy at the party. Oh and since I'm on the subject, my buddy Paul made an apperance. We left for ten minutes so he could gather some things at his house. We come back and Alannah has scratches all over and later I realize she's covered in blood! All she says is some chick was raggin' on her and she beat the shit out of her. Oof, I wish that coulda been resolved some other way.
I came home on Sunday. Slept and relaxed most of the day.
I've finally jumped back into the dating pool. I haven't been able to take boys seriously for a while. Just random hookups here and there it's fun for a while but in the end those sorts of things always end up the same. Cute boy who's good at small talk. Not taking a genuine interest in a person for who they are becomes boring and makes me feel so fucking shallow.
Two Saturdays ago I went on a date with a random fellow from the Fremont area. He was really nice, wasn't talking much at first but after he warmed up he started telling me more about himself. We had coffee at Cafe Ella and walked around a park. Went to Valley Feed and pet the baby bunnies and ducklings. Then we got a cookie and called it a day. He asked me out on a second date. I think I'll go for it just for the sake of getting to know somebody new. This time we're gonna go to San Jose cos there isn't shit to do in this town.
Tutoring is nice, I like the challenge of finding an effective and interesting method of teaching someone. And the fact that my learner takes a genuine interest in learning makes it all the more worthwhile. I love being at the library, that place is like my second home. A cozy place filled with books, what more do I need?
I'm off. I feel like listening to Prince and starting on my book.
