So the mighty
yuki_onna bought my poem about Frankenstein's second monster that I wrote for her workshop years ago, causing me to EEEE myself half to death.
Today is the day that it is available in Apex Magazine.
I encourage you to
buy the issue or
subscribe. Subscribing is a particularly good idea because if you do, you'll get
the November issue too, the one showcasing the work of writers who are Muslim, Arab or come from an Islamic culture, which is bound to be a treat. This month's issue is really good, y'all: all the fiction is awesome, and it features Friend of the Pope Ekaterina Sedia, too! (Plus you get 10% off in the Apex store for a year, and they have excellent books as well as putting out an excellent magazine.)
If you can't do either of those things, though, you can
read Anything So Utterly Destroyed online for absolutely free. Leave a comment there or here (but preferably there, as the fine folks at Apex are not really checking this humble blog.) Drop a dollar in the tip jar if you have it, or just promote the issue, or whatever it is you want to do. (And if you'd like to tell your friends about your friend the Pope's creepy poem, please do that.)
I also have a new Wordpress site, which I am not doing much with as of this moment, at
lizbet.org, so I thought I'd get that out there. More Stuff may appear over there between now and December, when I'm presenting my paper on legal personhood and artificial intelligence.
Go, read, enjoy. I am so happy about my Very First Professional Sale and I want you all to share in the joy.
