one giant ramble that resembles my weekend

i seriously think my computer is dying. if that RAM doesn't get here tomorrow i may have a major issue on my hands. ok... so maybe i'm being a bit dramatic but finals are looming and my computer isn't living up to her potential and it's stressing me out. 2 of my 4 finals are comprehensive and the other 2 cover half the semester. ick ick ick! i'm gonna start studying tomorrow. i figure i'll make a major tour of all the coffee shops in town over the next couple weeks and hopefully i'll be prepared come test-time.

the snow Wed. turned what should've been a 2 hour drive to STL into a 5.5 hour drive. it seems everyone spontaneously forgets how to drive the second snow starts falling and there were cars off the road everywhere. fortunately the snow wasn't nearly as bad in the city and Tracy had beer waiting for us when we finally got to her house. that night we partied at Novaks and then went out to the strip clubs for the hell of it. Thurs. morning we awoke tired and hung-over and headed to Tracy's grandparents' for turkey day dinner. they harassed us until we agreed to nurse a pre-dinner drink. the food was awesome and i ate way too much etc. etc. Thurs. night we went back to Novaks for some lighter drinking. the bar was almost empty which was perfect for talking and i kept getting harassed for texting Nika. Friday Tracy and i did some running around town and ended up at Mokabes for coffee. it was our third day among the STL lesbian community and we already recognized half the women at the coffee shop, which i took as a sign that it was time for us to leave. we made it back to CoMo in time to go to work.

Friday night Tracy and i got a couple growlers of Flat Branch beer and Nika came over and watched us drunk-decorate the 3ft. xmas tree we acquired from Tracy's grandparents. it's covered in ornaments and blue tinsel w/ a huge red bow on top and Becca loves it :P we got way too absorbed in the tree and making fun of stupid shows on MTV and suddenly it was 4am and we all had to work in the morning. a few hours later Nika and i went to Ernie's for coffee/sanity and then struggled through our days at work. later last night we went to the Artisan for Doubliner (yes i spelled that right) floats. imagine coffee ice cream, espresso, and Guinness in a glass. between the drink and the company i'm not sure if i could've imagined a better scenario if i tried! after that we rented Eternal Sunshine and made it about 20 minutes into the movie before we fell asleep. oops!

today i told myself i'd hit the trail on my bike before work, but i'm feeling very lethargic so i might just crawl back in bed a read for a while instead.
