Which is what happens when I don't update my LiveJournal, ever.
Hmm... working lots of hours (target: 60 hours per week),
brideofsatan23 working lots of hours running a store, getting over a minor case of strep (Katte got sick first, so I was forewarned and caught it early). Still in love with Katte.
So the boss came in and dismantled the corporate management structure because they were sucking at the most important part of their job: making sure the company makes money. A lot of people got scared when they realized that the owner could do whatever he wanted with his company (go figure) and quit. The boss offered us techs basically as many hours as we wanted, if we worked flat time (instead of time-and-a-half for OT). Given that I have worked 40 hours a week for the past 3 years, and that slowly caused me to go broke, I jumped at the chance. So I spend 40-ish hours a week doing research and development and other boring stuff, and 20 hours a week doing decidedly unboring tech work in whatever store needs an extra warm body. Fun stuff. Very tiring.
That also means that I will have to give rainchecks on all those "let's get togethers" I promised a lot of you... Maybe when I take vacation later this year, which will be quite long because, after all, I'm working a ton of hours.
Katte's running a store. She likes it. Don't believe her if she says otherwise. We work together about 1 day a week. Much fun-ness.
I'm still deeply in love with Katte. Not to brag or anything, but she is quite possibly the coolest, hardest working, most dedicated, most passionate person I know. And the best cook.
