Holy Christ, so that's what that feels like?

Woke up this morning at around 3:30, crawled out of bed to pee. Stood up, and there was a severe pain in my back. Chalked it up to moving the wrong way. Later as I go to lay down again the pain becomes unbearable. Very severe. I think it may be kidney stones, or lower back pain. I decided to go to the hospital. I sat in Touro for 3 to 4 hours writhing in pain and being generally uncomfortable. So, it turns out that I have the beginnings of two herniated discs in my lower back lumbar area. I'm told that I may need surgery and if that's the case than I'm really freaking out. Please tell me they don't go in from the front and move around your organs, cause that's what my dad said they do. I couldn't really handle that. It seems really scary and extremely painful. Hopefully it will go away on its own after a while but I am genuinely concerned now. I don't want to have back pain for the rest of my life, it sucks. It was terrible and I never want to feel the way I did this morning. I kinda wish it was a kidney stone because I reckon that after passing the stone and writhing in pain I'd go home and that'd be it. Or maybe not.
See why I figure the cosmic lords of Karma have it out for me. Seriously whoever has the needle in my back, I implore you to graciously remove it.
