Made my Decision
I'm headed to Pittsburgh! I leave on the 20th. Two weeks! Lots to do until then.
Why am I going to Pittsburgh? What will I be doing?
1) I will be working on the new George Romero film, "Land of the Dead". Yeah!!
2) I will be taking classes at John Russo's Movie Academy.
3) I will be teaching audio post-production at John Russo's Movie Academy.
Why am I really going? I am going to make movies. Plain and simple. No, I'm not going to LA yet. I have lived the film sound life for some time now, and I have seen all that I need to see. This is my next step.
I knew that I would have to make a big choice sometime in my future regarding what I was going to do, career-wise. I am happy with what I have accomplished here, and I am ready to move up and move on.
I will miss all of my friends in California. That is the only thing that makes this decision hard. However, I realize that this is not a permanent move. I will only be gone for a 16 months. Afterwords, I will return. If not to SF, at least to LA. I will be close again. And hopefully I will be bringing my own films back to the Ranch for post!
I will write more later. I will be using this journal to tell you all about my life in PA, and to post cool zombie photos!
