yesterday was the last day of living in trumbull...
...picked up the last few items from the place yesterday...
after it was put into the car, i went back inside...
...sat on the couch for a few minutes...
...couldn't help be be a little teary-eyed.
it was my home for a little over eight years.
all the fun times quickly came to mind: playing triple play baseball w/ joe, making it a marathon (i would be the mets - always, and he the dodgers - always); working on my writing projects - if it were for the connecticut post, the hamden chronicle, working on the web magazine "blowout magazine," to the relaunch of my zine "bulletproof popemobile" on the 'net; geekfest; waking up early on a snowy sunday before it got too bad outside on the roads to get myself a coffee, newspaper and bagel and after those were done, read a book from either david sedaris or irvine welsh... those were a few of the many memories that came to mind as i sat there.
the place looked so clean... so un-lived in...
...it looked like it did the very first day i moved in...
no memory of me at all holding it, but the memories will always be held in me...
i gave the key back - it was final.
trumbull was no longer my home...
...i took the backroads up to ansonia...
...took in some of the sights that i frequented when i had time...
take it in...
crossed through the monroe border... then the shelton... then the final destination: ansonia.
turned the key, and now... i'm home.
memories have been made here already, and many more to come with my becky...
it has been fun, trumbull, but, i gotta move on...
you helped me to grow...
now, it's time to expand on that...
looking forward to it all.
anyway, despite the move, doing better in bowling this season... tonight, i bowled a 142, 141 and a 152 - i have to keep that up the rest of the season...
...so far, we're in 3rd place and hoping to get higher...
...right now, i'm just tired...
...the week is almost over...
thank goodness.
more unpacking to do, and maybe, i'll get to finish the "bulletproof popemobile" book before november ends...
anyway, hope all is well...
time for sleep...
good-night...
