monday....
gotta say that today was a really slow start.
i think the sign that told it was when going to work, there were no voice messages for me...
...and, that no one called me me until about close to 10:30AM.
very slow start, but not to say there was some busy work that i got done early and had to pretend and stretch out until some calls started to come in... and even those were few and far between.
ugh... that is the sucky thing about holidays that the bank has off and i'm still stuck at work - the clients think that we are off as well...
...i wish!
speaking of holidays, happy thanksgiving to any and all of my friends in canada!
kind of interesting - my friend wrote to the people in my group agout a movie he suggested seeing. then, another person did, then my supervisor... then, i had to chime in with a movie i recommended. besides watching the "eko eko azarak" trilogy, i also watched one of my all-time favorites: "oldboy." then, i reviewed it, gave other choices from the director, then went off into the "three...extremes," which are a collection of three short films, one of which was from park chan-wook (hands down the best short in this set of three), and then talked about takashi miike (who directed one of the shorts as well, but it wasn't my favorite, but he is one of my favorite directors), and then started talking about films like "ichi the killer," "audition," and "sabu"... and, i stopped because it was getting really long... but i did set the standard on how we are going to e-mail each other for movie of the week... heh!
but, after my review, my friend that submitted his first review came to my cubicle and asked more about "oldboy." he really wanted to see it, and told him i'll take care of it. so, when i went home for lunch, i made sure i grabbed it, and he was pumped! we pretty much have the same sort of tastes in movies, so, i hope he likes this one.
and, any of you looking something good to buy/rent, don't mind a little gore, but looking for a thriller with crazy twists, you need to rent "oldboy." add it to the top of your netflix/blockbuster/hollywood video queue.
hopefully, you'll thank me later.
but, then things picked up a little bit, but it wasn't crazy busy... just semi-slow to semi-starting-to-get-steady.
after that, went to visit my parents. my sister was visiting, and my mom asked if i wanted to come over.
so, i did - played with all the dogs (my sister brought her dog, as well as her fiances dog - all three dogs love to play with one another!), chatted with my sister, had dinner there, then after my sister left, my mom and i played some scrabble (won all two games! woo hoo!), then... came home, and here i am...
...rock me like hur-ri-cane! (c'mon, c'mon, c'maaaaaaaawon!!!!!)

anyways, tomorrow is my usual tuesday routine - work, dinner at my parents, come home, sleep, and be ready for wednesday...
...the weekend seems so far, but will eventually be close and here...
...hopefully, i get another book for myself by then! i'm sure it will - the things i ordered on-line for the holiday are coming fast, and i'm just about halfway done.
well, i hope everyone is doing well...
