How to win over a Russian?

Apr 28, 2011 00:39

Or a pocket guide on how to feed the ruck.

  • Never say that it is bloody awesome to live in Russia, nor say that it is awful. For that matter come up with a couple of completely retarded countries of the fourth world as examples or, as an option, do not avert to name any more or less civilized country with a comment of "people too kill each other over there...".
  • At all times a Russian should feel that he is unfairly oppressed and that the burden of his country he has to carry is the heaviest. A Russian, listening to you, should feel how miserable he is, yet how at the same time enormous his feat is that he still lives in the country. Let him speak ill of his country, save that you dare not say a single bad word of Russia which may hurt his vanity.
  • The crucial word for description while speaking of Russia should be "almost", especially while comparing it with so-called "evil-West". For instance, "Russia is almost as progressive civilized and rich country as the US".
  • Also try to make a good use of "problems" followed by an excuse an objective reason. E.g. "Of course, we have problems but it's for that our democracy is too young..."
  •  Allege Assert that Putin has brought prosperity to the RF and saved it from the western expansion, that's to say you still don't see anybody more suitable for the presidency whoever shows up on the horizon.
  • Never hesitate to actively use the word "some" whatever the context is. Some sometimes can work out as "all". "Who told me that it was better without Putin? Some people now make >100K monthly" Thereby, use the word "logic". You will herewith sound more logical for the Russians. Afterall no one promised you would be logical, even if you know a lot of it.
  • For the last but not least, learn by heart Goebbels' Putin's postulate: "The bigger lie is, the sooner everyone will believe it"
