Paula Abdul to return to 'American Idol' - as a guest, along with Christina Aguilera
After a full season of being absent from the judges' table on "American Idol," Paula Abdul will return to the show this week.
The wacky, but lovable, singer won't be back as a judge -- just as a special guest, according to a report on People.com.
It's not yet known if Abdul will perform a song, sit with the current Idol judges, or just bid farewell to Simon Cowell, the cranky British judge who is leaving the show when this season ends.
People is also reporting that Christina Aguilera will be among the guest performers during Wednesday's season finale. Fox has not yet announced the full lineup of guests.
