From Kourtney: "Mason and I did a photo shoot together for Baby Couture magazine. It was so much fun having a shoot for both of us. I love picking out his clothes, but for a shoot it’s even more fun.
I feel so blessed every day I get to spend with this amazing little boy. He was so good all day at the shoot and he’s a natural in front of the camera. These are definitely photos that the family can hold on to forever."
"Kourtney Kardashian seems to be doing it all- from paparazzi princess to reality TV superstar and fashion entrepreneur. What most don't realize is that underneath the tough exterior of the eldest Kardashian sister lies a blossoming mother who is enjoying every bit of her time with 6-month-old bundle of joy, Mason Dash."
BC: How does it feel like being a first-time mom?
KK: It is so fulfilling. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing boy in my life
BC: How was the labor like?
KK: My labor was calm, peaceful, and easy- everything I thought it wouldn't be. It was an experience I will cherish forever.
BC: What are the changes in your lifestyle after having Mason?
KK: My priority in my life now is Mason, whereas before, it was all about me. I love the change. I think a switch just went off in me when I had him. I instantly embraced motherhood. I had never cared for a baby before, but it all just came to me. Life is obviously very different now, with much more planning involved- many more gadgets, toys, and lots of prayers. I am loving it all. I even love changing Mason's diaper, comforting him when he cries, staring at him for hours when he sleeps. I love bath time, story time, bedtime, naptime, play time. It's all amazing. He makes me a better person.
BC: You and your siblings are known to be gorgeous and extremely interesting, so much so that you have 2 reality shows. What do you think it is about your family that keeps the public so glued to your personal lives?
KK: I think that people relate to us in some way. Whenever I meet people who are fans of the shows, that is the comment I hear the most- that they relate to us as a family- or to a specific one of us in general. I think through the fights or the drama we have, the intense love we feel to each other as a family shows through.
BC: How was it like growing up with a silver spoon, but at the same time being faced with the whole O.J. Simpson trial at a young age?
KK: We had an amazing childhood all around. I have so many incredible memories. The O.J. trial was hard because our family was so involved on both sides. I learned a lot about people during that time.
BC: How does your mom and stepfather influence you in child-rearing?
KK: The like to give their opinions, as all grandparents do, I'm sure. I listen but make my own decisions. Bruce loves to babysit Mason. They have their "man-time" as Bruce calls it.
BC: What are the values you will make sure your son knows by hear?
KK: Family is the most important thing in the world, and money does not equal happiness. I want him to have a strong work ethic, like my sisters and I have. I want him to be kind, to value honesty, and to treat people as he would like to be treated.
BC: You believe in breastfeeding- how long to you plan to do it? And what is your diet or fitness regimen like?
KK: I am going with the flow and taking my cues from Mason. As long as he wants to breastfeed, I will. I am aiming for a year. I am loving it so far, and so is he. It is such an amazing bond time, and obviously so natural and healthy, for both of us. Breastfeeding helped me bounce back into shape, for sure. I am not on any kind of diet right now, I try to eat a good balance and am constantly eating throughout the day. I am currently not working out, I just don't seem to have the time. But I did use my Kourtney Kardashian Limited Edition Belly Bandit right away in the hospital which helped tighten and shrink my tummy back. You use it for 45 days and never take it off. I also drink one Quick Trim Ready-to-Drink Satisfy Shake a day. It contains vitamins and nutrient my body needs, and it's easy when I am on-the-go.
BC: About your personal style, where do you shop and what are your favorite brands? Would you be able to generalize how you personally dress?
KK: I am all about effortless chic dressing, especially after having Mason. I need easy outfits I can just throw on and be comfortable in, but still look stylish. Flat shoes look better and better each day. I don't spend much time shopping for myself these day, it is so much more fun to shop for Mason. It is easy for me to shop at DASH, of course! I think because I have not been shopping much, I wear a lot of basics. Jeans, a white button down shirt, ballet flats! Easy! I have also been loving maxi dresses with flats.
BC: How do you like to dress Mason?
KK: I would say that I like to dress Mason "preppy chic." He is a stylish little boy. I dress him more classic than trendy.
BC: Favorite kids' stuff?
KK: I love by Bugaboo chameleon stroller. I use it with the Graco car seat adapter so I don't have to take Mason out of his seat is he is sleeping. I use a Balenciaga bad as a diaper bag, and am loving it. It has lots of inside and outside pockets, and still looks fab. I love his Netto furniture. It is modern, simple, and stylish. I feel happy everytime I see it. I love his Monte white leather glider- it is beyond comfortable for nursing and storytelling. For clothing brands, I like Ralph Lauren, H&M, Fore, Petit Bateau and Kicky Pants for PJ's, Splendid for loungewear. Scott had some custom made Astor & Black dress shirts and suits for Mase. As for shoes, LAMB, Minnetonka Moccassins, Ralph Lauren velvet loafers. Food: he is all breastmilk. Gadgets: I like the Prince Lionheart little seat for before they are sitting up on their own. I only put him in it for 5 to 10 minutes at a time though. The B
loom Fresco high chair reclines, so it's perfect as a lounger when they can't sit up yet. The Bloom Coco Lounger is so stylish, and Mason loves being bounced in it. I also love the Skip Hop Funky Farmyard activity gym, Munchkin sleep positioner, Cloud B Twilight Turtle, Cloud B Gentle Giraffe, Vulli's Sophie the Giraffe, and Tiffany & Co.'s sterling silver teething ring rattle.
BC: How do you manage to juggle DASH and celebrity life, along with motherhood?
KK: Luckily we have worked hard at training girls to manage the DASH stores. We do all of the buying, and are constantly emailing back and forth with them all day. I also feel very lucky that Mason can come with me almost everywhere and on every job we do. As much as I was hesitant to have him filmed on our shows, it also allows me a job that he can be with me at. I am very grateful for that.
BC: How do you deal with paparazzi?
KK: Ignore them. Unless they get too close or invasive with my son, then I can't help myself and I get nasty with them. My protective mama bear kicks in>
BC: How does it feel to have over a million fans on Twitter alone? Do you feel like you have some sort of responsibility when you post tweets, or you just go ahead and say what comes to mind?
KK: It's pretty amazing to have many people who actually read my tweets. I have actually never thought about it! Wow. I just write what I'm thinking. If I start editing myself, or taking myself too seriously, that would be no fun. Khloe and I love writing each other crazy things, and going a little crazy sometimes.
BC: How involved are you in raising Mason? Do you hire other caregivers when you have to work, or he stays with Scott and your family?
KK: I am VERY hands-on! I like to do anything and everything with Mason. I bring him with me everywhere I feel safe and comfortable doing so. I prefer Mason to be with Scott or my family, but I do have someone that helps when I am working. I am very lucky to have a big family filled with babysitters to help out, Kendall and Kylie love to come along with us, and it's nice to have extra hands around. That way, Mason also gets some "auntie-time."
BC: Does Mason already have quirks, funny antics?
KK: He has the best personality already. He is so happy! He laughs to hard. He also has his serious moments with so many facial expressions. He is very alert and knows what's going on. He is calm, mellow, and easygoing.
BC: Fun diaper-changing, feeding stories you want to share?
KK: The first time I ever changed Mason's diaper, Scott and I did it together. It was our first night home from the hospital, and neither of us really knew what we were doing. As soon as we took his diaper off. we got a little double surprise and both scrambled figuring out how to clean everything up. It was a good time.
BC: Motherhood tips for your fans?
KK: Just stay as calm and relaxed as you can. The baby feels your energy. Be patient, loving, nuturing. I do everything on Mason's schedule. If I'm late, I don't rush, I just take my time. Everything else can wait. Mason comes first and foremost before everything. Nothing is more important than him.
BC: What are your hopes and dreams for your son?
KK: I want him to be happy and healthy. Whatever makes him happy, makes me happy.
Source Best Kardashian, imo. Cheesy article but she came off well, I think
