Character/Pairing: Tsuna/Kyoko
Kyoko frequently dreamt of a prince charming when she was a child. Sometimes it was a knight in shining armor. Sometimes it was a powerful wizard who could give her all the sweets she could dream of.
Kyoko dreamt--still dreams--of someone who could stop her from crying. Someone who could help her brother when the older and larger kids wanted a fight.
The specifics were never consistent. His hair would change from brown to blond to black. Sometimes he would have a beautiful white steed, a magic sword, or a magic lamp to grant three wishes. Every time she imagined him something would change.
But there were a few things that stayed the same: the sweetness of his smile, the promise he would come and the irrevocable thought that he would protect her happiness.

"Thank you. You're here Tsu-kun."

He is younger and shorter than she remembers (but what really matters is that he's alive). She takes in the fuller curve of his cheeks, the absence of bags under his eyes, and his clear bright eyes. She notes the tears in his eyes, and tries to remember the last time she saw him cry (between the two of them, she did most, if not all, the crying).
He's not a prince, a knight or a wizard.
And he does more than smile for her, come for her and protect her.
Tsuna has always given her the promise of hope and the strength to reach out for his hand and stand up again.
